Absolutely. Mountain West Excavation carries a contractor license, Idaho public works license, complex septic installer license, and an Oregon contractor and public works license, ensuring peace of mind throughout your project.

Yes! While our core focus is on commercial, public works, and large-scale infrastructure projects, we also support residential builds on acreage. We partner with general contractors, developers, and project managers of all kinds.

Yes, we install and replace septic systems, including drain field excavation and tank placement, in compliance with Idaho code.
Do you provide turn-key services and general contracting for development projects?
Yes, we do. We have a group of trusted subcontractors to help complete our development projects from start to finish, including forming and pouring concrete, asphalt paving, electrical work for street lights, and landscaping, delivering complete development solutions.

We’re nearly always hiring skilled CDL Class A drivers, heavy equipment operators, pipe layers, underground utilities technicians, laborers, grading foremen, and pipe foremen. Check our employment page for openings.
Do I need experience to apply?
Experience is preferred, especially for operator and driver roles, but we’re willing to train hardworking individuals as laborers, top hands, pipe layers, and other entry-level positions.
What licenses or certifications are required?
Operators typically need a valid driver's license. CDL drivers must hold a current CDL Class A. OSHA certifications are a plus, but not mandatory.

Most of our work is based in the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas in Idaho, but we occasionally take on projects elsewhere in the Mountain West.
